Business Analyst

Location: Remote (preferably EST)

Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in working with schemas, data relationships, and SQL queries. Experience in the insurance domain is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and data specifications.
• Understand and work with data schemas and relationships across systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data.
• Work closely with technical teams to support development and testing efforts.
• Participate in requirement walkthroughs, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Communicate insights and findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of data schemas, data modeling, and database relationships.
• Proficient in SQL – ability to write complex queries for data analysis and validation.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the insurance industry (Property & Casualty preferred).
• Familiarity with insurance platforms or related systems.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
